From the Sidelines to the Fairways, How HighCut Teed Off!
Share
HighCut didn’t start in a design studio or an office. It started on the ground at the 2024 New Zealand Open, with two volunteers, Ben and Dan, walking fairways, raking bunkers, and talking about the game. Ben was new to golf, but something about it clicked instantly. The people, the vibe, the culture, it all stuck. And Dan, already deep into the game, saw the same gap: gear that actually felt like us.
That side line chat turned into an idea and that idea became a ‘HIGHCUTGOLFNZ’
From day one, we knew we weren’t going plug-and-play. HighCut was never going to be logos on stock shirts. Every product we drop is built from scratch, from overall fit and fabric feel, right down to custom wash tags and internal labelling. Its gear you won’t find off the rack. HighCut is custom, personified.
That’s where Ryan came in. As our lead designer, and a huge part of the journey, Ryan brought the technical craft to match our vision. But the eye for detail wasn’t just his. The three of us, Ben, Dan, and Ryan obsessed over everything. Samples, stitching, side splits, sleeve lengths… nothing was left to chance.
That first polo wasn’t just a product, it was proof. Proof we could build something real, something original, and something proudly Kiwi.
HighCut’s still young, but we’re growing fast. We’re here for the golfers who show up, swing hard, and want gear that actually reps them. Whether you’re off scratch or chasing your first par, we’ve got you.
Winter’s on its way, and so is our first cold-weather release. We can’t wait to show you what’s next.
Thanks for being part of it.
