Goals for Good, A Day of Football for a Cause

This weekend saw something a little different from the fairways, the Waikato football community came together for a special cause at the Konings x Weatherly Football Charity Matches.

From the morning kick-off of the Konings Cup to the evening’s Waikato All-Stars match and live auction, it was a full day of action, connection, and generosity. Players past and present laced up for a series of games, Masters, Queens, and All-Stars, all contributing to an amazing local initiative: Goals for Good.

The event wasn’t just about football. It was about community, seeing people rally together, share a few laughs, and make a difference. With gates open from mid-morning and the crowd staying well into the night, the atmosphere captured exactly what grassroots sport in New Zealand is all about: good mates, good causes, and good times.
