Judgeford Golf Club x HighCut: A Shirt That Tells a Story
Share
When Judgeford Golf Club approached us to bring their vision to life, we knew this wouldn’t be just another polo.
Based just outside Wellington, Judgeford is a proud, tight-knit club with a deep appreciation for its people, land, and culture. So when it came time to create a new club shirt, they wanted something with genuine meaning, something that represented the community, the course, and the stories woven into both.
The final product is more than a shirt, it’s a design rich in symbolism, crafted by Judgeford members themselves. Our role at HighCut was to help make it real.
Their Design, Our Delivery
The patterns seen on the shirt are inspired by Māori and Pasifika motifs specific to the Judgeford area. The shirt features subtle pinstripes that, at first glance, appear classic and understated. But up close, you’ll see layers of thoughtful detail, designs representing strength, unity, guardianship, and the natural streams that run through the course.
It’s an example of how golf apparel can go deeper than just performance or aesthetics. This is about connection.
From Club Values to Custom Fabric
Each element was created to reflect the club’s core values: inclusiveness, positivity, and community. Whether it’s the koru symbol representing growth and nurture, or the eel design nodding to local waterways and guardianship, every part has meaning.
It’s Judgeford’s story, we just helped stitch it together.
