Mornington x HighCut: A Shirt That Speaks for the Club

Mornington x HighCut: A Shirt That Speaks for the Club

When one of Aotearoa’s most grassroots-focused clubs came calling, we listened.

Mornington Golf Club, known for its strong sense of community, inclusivity, and good honest golf, chose HighCut to design and supply what we reckon is one of the standout club shirts of the year.

And we wanted to make sure it meant something.

The Silver Fern - More Than a Symbol

The foundation of the design is the silver fern, an emblem of strength, resilience, and growth in New Zealand culture. Just like Mornington itself, it’s proudly local, quietly powerful, and rooted in something deeper than just the game.

To reflect the club’s values, we developed a repeating fern pattern made up of interlocking hexagons. This represents unity, connection, and the shared bond that exists among members, whether they’re shooting 68 or 108.

Design That Matches the Club’s DNA

The pattern isn’t just for looks. Its open and inviting layout speaks to Mornington’s accessibility and inclusivity, welcoming golfers of all walks, all abilities, and all backgrounds. It’s not just a club shirt; it’s a statement about who they are and what they stand for.

We’re stoked to collaborate with a club that truly gets what golf is about. This one wasn’t just about design, it was about identity.
